Eb Tuning / Half a step down.

Hi all.

I'm 100% sure this question has been asked here before, but I couldn't find any of the threads.

My question is: "What is the best way of tuning your guitar half a step down?"
I've read a few ways on internet using a capo and stuff, but I'd like to know what u guys think here at trusted GFB&B.

I miss the comfort in being sad

I reckon the best thing to do is use a chromatic tuner. ie one that displays and tunes to all 12 notes.

You can also tune your A string to the same note as the E string 4th fret ( giving you Ab ) and then use this as a reference for the other 5 strings.

I use a tuner, but when doing it by ear I tune the top E to the Eb on the A string at 6th fret, then tune normally.

Always remember to tune below the note and up to it. Tuning down to a note never holds.

Remember, wherever you go... there you are.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
