So, I've decided it's about time for me to expand my repertoire. The style or music I usually play doesn't extend much, it's all similar in sound and technique. I usually play music from Classic Rock to Pop Rock and all that's in between(Green Day, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Tenacious D are four of the groups I like to "play along" to, and they're different genres).
I haven't actually gotten round to writing any of my own stuff, yet... I'll come up with the odd riff every now and then, but that's about it. I should probably get on to that... What can I say? I'm an avid fan of procrastination. (Being lazy sounds much more intellectual when you word it that way...)
I recently read, heard and watched Kirk's Bossa Nova, and listened to the BT, and managed to improvise a solo to go along with it, which, for me, is actually quite uncommon. I'm not too good at improvisation.
So, Bossa Nova is one style/sound/technique/whatnot that I'm interested in, anyone have any recommendations?
Living in Spain, you would imagine I'd play Flamenco... I wish.
I currently play on either my Electric guitar or my Electro-Acoustic, so what styles would suit those?
I'll have some nylon strings on my old Acoustic, soon (not the Electro-acoustic), so I'll definitely be finger-picking on that one.
Anyway... Wow, I don't half blabber on...
So! Recommendations would be highly appreciated!
