Question on fingertips.

On my middle left finger, I happen to have a good sized scar (round). Now, whenever I'm playing a song using that finger, the string seems to slip around the scar and move my finger into a position where it touches another string. This is extremely annoying.

Is the best I can do about this just keep playing ON the scar and hope it all gets worked out? o_O

You may be putting to much finger pressure on the string. Try lightening up your touch just short of not being able to get a clean note.

I sand my callouses when I get a rough spot that hangs up on the strings; I was thinking a light sanding with an emery board might give you the grip you need?

It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
