Tab sites

Does anyone have any recent info on the legal battles between the music industry and the tablature sites?

The funny thing is, I don't think there have been any legal battles. Tab sites have been closing down before it gets to that point out of fear. No tab sites have stood up to them yet. Back Track sites on the other hand have gotten Cease and Desist Orders for BTs that that were note for note from cds. At this point it is still unclear what is or is not legal. There is a lengthy closed thread, I started, some time ago here that has some good info added by members.
Should sites like this be shut down?
There has still been no definitive legal decision on this subject.

We don't know yet. Admin had contacted lawyers about this and they don't know yet. There haven't been any test cases in court to set president. Tab sites have been shutting down for the last couple of years. Until this is decided, tabbing looks pretty bleak unless you do all original non copyrighted tabs. About the only ones left are safely off shore where the lawyers can't get to them.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
