So, what did PlaneTalk do for me?

First it opened my eyes to what I should be learning and practicing. Second it taught me how to navigate the fretboard with an easy understandable approach that I believe anyone can use. Third it empowered me to have the ability to know where I'm at and what I'm playing at all times.

Worth its weight in Gold!

Trust me, don't struggle with guitar any longer... buy PlaneTalk and let the truth set you free. It really is THAT good.

Brian

Hey, Brian. I was wondering how you were going with it all. I'm glad it resonates with your way of thinking.

That's the most important bit right there.

That's the hardest thing about Plane Talk, waiting for it to arrive.

Ha... Kirk told me not to expect mine for 2 weeks, because I lived in the States, but it showed after just a week and a half on a friday. I ordered on a thursday, and got it that next friday. Not bad for such a long travel using USPS mail.

I read the book... but nothing clicked for me until I seen the DVD, then it all was sugar and spice and everything nice from then on.

AS A FURTHER NOTE.. I've got His SLIDE GUITAR DVD too... and I've taken a look at it, and its SUPERB. I believe once I get a good slide, set a guitar up more for slide, I should have no problem impressing myself and others with slide guitar, because Kirk teaches you, well pretty much everything necessary to play slide guitar in that one video.

KIRK??? in the dvd you say that you use a 16 guage string and go up... wouldn't this be too much stress for a guitar neck? in standard or drop-d tuning?

ok... I've got his chord tone blues as well, but have not gotten to check it out yet.

I must say something though... I hear it on the DVD and on the website alot that using the planetalk method isn't really scales, but I disagree!!! I believe planetalk teaches you how to use scales the correct way, and the easier way. It might not feel like scales because its not the same method as countless other books use of showing you endless diagrams of fingering positions, but it is scales wether you realize it or not! To me, planetalk has made scales a tangible reality now. Could be because I so easily combined my knowledge of scales with the planetalk method, and now I feel I could play anything... dorian in c? no problem... phrygian in d, again no problem... planetalk shows the way. combine minor with dorian? no problem. How much cooler can it get?

Hang in there Doty, thats about how long it took mine to arrive, and with yesterday being a holiday here in the states, sure its just a day lagging thanks to snail mail taking the day off.

PS: Its so worth the wait.

I'd say the long weekend you had over there has delayed it ... won't be long.
