  After PT--what do you suggest?

I bought Plane Talk and have read it several times and listened to the DVD. It makes sense.

I have played "mary had a little lamb" at different places along the neck in different chords just to verify that what you say about intervals work. They do!

Now, what do you suggest I do? Do you have a series of lessons at this website for me to get better acquainted with the neck based on what was taught in PT? I see lessons all over the website, but is there a sequence of what to learn?

I guess I don't know what to do next?

Go to the P.T. forum and ask there where the members can go into detail. There are lessons, vids, paid lessons and tons of diagrams and posts on the P.T. forum to help you.

Excuse my ignorance--but where is the PT forum? Do I need a special password to enter?

Once you are registered over there, I suggest the "Blues in 3 positions" lesson as a starting point, as well as the Chord Tones lesson (first one on the free lessons page.) Definitely helpful in my opinion - direct application of the principles in the book and the examples in the DVD. I wish I had seen this stuff years ago.

Actually you can just join up at the PlaneTalk forum http://www.thatllteachyou.com/board/ (chosing your own nic and password) and then fill out the form (you will be given a link to this after you join up) showing that you have bought PlaneTalk and then we manually activate your acount.

Cheers

Clancy

The details were probably as you said back when you joined up Marty.

AT, Clancy,

Reading his post I dont think Eric has had one of those Aha moments yet. Regarding PT of course. I just had one yesterday again during our gig last night...

If you start putting the PT template over the things you play, you find you are able to play faster and in any position on the neck... I personally think that the book should not be had without either the DVD or the PT forum... but luckily Clancy and kirk does a great job of putting it all together for us mere mortals.

Actually, Kirk has changed things recently so that you no longer can buy the book separately. It's the whole package now. The book, the DVD and the forum. It works better that way.

That's the way to go Clancy... You guys are really mind readers after all. I think Nocat made that observation a day or two back too...

If I had not won the DVD I would have bought it eventually anyway... It was a great prize by the way i watch it regularly. Thank you...

Hi Clancy,
I already have PT and would like to order the DVD?
Is that possible?
How do I do that?
Cheers and thanks,

Todd

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
