  got plane talk last night

My plane talk got here last night and I was able to read through the book. I have been playing since I was 8 years old (49 now), but I had alot of holes in my knowledge. I had many AHA! moments as I read through the book as well as many moments where I was like Duh how could I have been so stupid. Like Kirk, some of this stuff was slowly coming together by itself but I was making the connections gradually over time. You did such an amazing job of explaining it in a very simple manner and making the connections I just wish I had seen this when I was in my 20's. I am sure I will have a couple of questions after I get a chance to start working with this on my guitar so I am going to need access to the plane talk forum. I have many other books on theory and different methods and thanks to this one I think I can now go back to some of those and better understand some of the concepts.....the other guys make it too hard I would highly recommend people start with plane talk.

My thoughts exactly. Kirk explains theory so simply that even a beginner can grasp it and start putting it to work.

I was just at the bank today, when I walked in I seen a young friend of my daughters.
He is beginning to teach guitar to new students.
I introduced him to GFB&B and hope he logs in. I told him that he would learn much from this site and probably enhance his own learning skills.
I asked him to stop by and I will give him a present, an additional copy of Plane Talk.
I told him to study and use it wisely. Perhaps it will aid him in being a better teacher.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
