She was an incredible talent, sad that she is no longer with us and that most of her recognition came after she had passed away.

WoW AllThumbs, I went to Youtube and spent the last 45 mins being memorized by eva's voice. I was thinking of taking my wife to see her when she was in the area. The last thing i looked at was the slide show and didn't have any idea she passed. What a shock. God Bless her and hold her near.

She was a true songbird.
She was born in Washington, DC in 1963,
She was Never married
She had malignant melanoma, a horrible skin cancer
She died in November 1996, She was only 33 years old.
I Only know of 2 of her albums, both are anthology type albums:
SONGBIRD and WONDERFUL WORLD
They probably could be located some where on the web.
It’s sad because she was such a wonderful singer.

I have not heard anything she did which i did not like but I would suggest her first album ( correct me if I'm wrong) Songbird is a beautiful album, again correct me, but I think all her albums were released after she had passed away.

Just had a look at the video. A great talent for sure, but a tragic and sad loss to us all!
Very sad for someone so young to lose out on life through cancer.

I think that is correct Matt - I think her boyfriend released them after her passing. There is some truly beautiful music in there.

She did not hit anything other than local fame until after her death because of her shyness. You can find a listing of her albums on the web but as far as i know she is not on any of the music services. you can purchase her CD's from the web or you might find them in a large music store. my favorite cd is her duet CD called 'the other side' of blues and jazz tunes.
