Genesis
What does everybody think of Genesis getting back together for a reunion tour.
Do you think it'll happen?

There was some bad blood happening at the end wasn't there? Could make it tricky. I think they would make a pile of money if they could pull it off.

Phil Collins apparently mentioned the possibility, and time can change things/people.
The need for money can also make people act civil although he said it wouldn't be for the money (cough cough).
Cream and Fleetwood Mac had bad blood brewing at their endings and they did reunions, as well as other bands.
But yes it could be tricky, but it also might already be a done deal and they are
throwing it out in a discussion manner for free advertising.

Obviously, my name says it all. I was a fan back in the days of Peter Gabriel. He was Genesis. I would love to see him come back rather than Phil Collins. But then they would need a drummer wouldn't they??

We'll have to wait and see what happens.
Apparently they're doing it for the laughs and not the money.

They're doing 20 dates stadium tour in 2007 in Europe, America dates are not finalized yet, but failing some disaster I think its pretty much a go, wait until they taste the reaction and money

Any idea if there is going to be a new album in the mix?

maybe a reunion tour album.
I don't think they're doing any new stuff but maybe once they are all back together their creative juices will start flowing

The ultimate would be having both Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel as part of it. Wasn't clear from what I was able to read that this would be the case. They've definitely made some awesome music over the years, though.

Hmmm...IMO, the ultimate would be Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett being part of it....I would pay a small fortune to watch/hear Hackett's "Fifth of Firth" solo with the rest of the band....
In any case, Hacketts website informs that only the three (Collins, Rutherford and Banks) will be doing the reunion tour...Gabriel was busy...but I think Hackett would have done it if Gabriel had...
Oh well....there's always hope.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
