  Victor Wooten

I just wanted to know how well he is known. I only heard about him the other day and I was amazed at what this guy could do on the bass. I saw a live DVD with him playing with Bčla Fleck and the Flecktones. Their whole band is brilliant.

He actually got me thinking about practicing bass... That feeling has passed though, I struggle enough with the guitar...

Victor is perhaps the best bass player around today. I also discovered him through Bela Fleck many years ago.

I like his Bass guitars...

What I find funny is the fact that he plays 4 string bass guitars most of the time... I think that limits you to a sense when it comes to the keys of C C# and D... the 5 string just gives you that much more to play with in the low end of the EQ range...

But I guess that if you play like Victor you dont particularly need that extra bass...

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
