The GfB&B Blues - let's write our own!

Based on the "How to Sing the Blues" thread, it seemed appropriate that we come up with the blues for ourselves, this site! We don't need outside blues, we can make our own! So, I'll just start with a simple verse/chorus and hopefully others will add on (and feel free to change what I posted to make it better - I'm not a great words writer...)

THE GfB&B BLUES
=============

Made a post this morning...
Scrapped the poop off my shoes
Looked back at the thread later...
Knew I'd given Clancy the Blues!

Oh, got them GfB&B Blues baby!
They follow me all around!
Got them GfB&B Blues baby!
Running me right into the ground!

(OK, carry on and fix as needed!... )

Jim

I got my fingers flying,
The tune's playing in my head,
But in spite of all my trying,
My upload just sounds dead.

I got them GfB&B blues,
But I'll do good someday,
Just gotta put in my dues,
And hit record and play.

Woke up late last night
Must have been three AM
Laying in a cold sweat
Been dreaming that dream again

18,000 twangers
A cacophonic horde
Playing the Mixolydian Mode
To a major seventh chord

I've got the GfB&B Blues
Got no sleep last night
I've got the GfB&B Blues
Got the blues alright.

THAT is a nightmare for sure Kirk (and great writing!). The deepest blues have you! No wonder you play them so good!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
