David Gilmour may not be a shredder (not that I like shredding), but he sure sends tingles up my spine with his playing.
eg. Comfortably Numb, Time, Wish You Were Here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, and even off his latest cd...."On An Island" there is some typical Gilmour playing.
