I would say Scenes From A Memory by Dream Theater. I still get shivers every time I listen to that album.

Pink Floyd - Meddle
One side of the album has a long track called Echoes, this isn't just a song/tune, its an experience.

Malcolm, I've always said that if I was forced to pick a single album as my favorite it would be "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway".
Other favorites...
I'll second Moonshine's Meddle, plus DSOTM, WYWH, Animals.
Same with Smurf's Close to the Edge, plus Fragile
Gong - Gazeuse
Brand X - Livestock

best prog rock album
Good choice with the lamb lies Fly.I always felt that in its double album format the 1st disc was much stronger and contained most of the classic tracks. Some of the latter material was possbly the pressure of having to make a double album.what about YES did they not have a treble album out in the 70s great to speak to fellow music lovers Malky

The Yes Album - YES
Fragile - YES
But the best prog rock album mantle belongs to Pink Floyd's DSOTM.

K. I'll go out on a limb....
I guess it depends on what era you're talking about. But, Eric Clapton and Cream, DISRAELI GEARS as the most progrssive rock album of all time.

Ah, bliss Keep those albums coming
And I agree Ballard, great Dream Theater album. I personally favor "Images and Words" though, I love EVERY song on that album Still hard to choose, I like most of the bands that were named already here

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
