Here's mine:

I really like this guy - will definitely see him in concert if he comes around.

Just a time problem for me right now. I almost have Classical Gas down (short version on this site). It just takes practice. Even coming up to tempo now.

Kurt - Angelina would make a great lesson!

Cheers,

BB

  My peice/goal

I would really like to play hey hey baby from Big Bill Broonzy. It requires fingerstyle. That in itself requires a lot of practice. You have to have goals, right?!

Well, I'll throw another Tommy Emmanuel piece in the mix- 'I Have Always Thought Of You". Something about that song puts me in a different state of mind- instantly relaxes me. I downloaded the TAB for it and it's going to take an awful lot of time, work, and studying the video of him playing it, but I'll get there eventually.
Here's a link to the video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmidYDoKmOA&search=tommy%20emmanuel%20thou ght%20of%20you

I know there are a lot of tunes I would love to play, tunes that move me and you can feel an emotion, this is why I posted the thread. As guitarists we are taken through a journey of different emotions. No matter what the emotion is we are moved into a love for that tune. This gives us the goal to improve our skill. My journey started 36 years ago when I heard "Reflections of my life" by the marmalade, trouble is I didn't do anything it untill 1998. If I picked up the guitar in the early 70s instead or putting my backside on a

Yeah, I know whatcha mean. I have the same regrets. I actually had a guitar back when I was 12 yearsold. I did not have the patience, influence, direction, passion to stay with it. I only wish! Better late than never, right?

Welcome Doug.
What song would I like to learn to play? There's so many of them I can't count or even choose one to be number one.

"Finish What Ya Started" by Eddie Van Halen

I've tried it a few times, I don't know what it is, I've got the wrong touch or something,
& I want to be able to do it on an acoustic.

Classical Gas is definitely on the must do list, but the absolute pinnacle for me will be when I learn how to play Rodrigo's concierto de aranjuez - adagio

Just hope I live that long

Cheers
