The look on his face when the guy brings out the Les Paul was priceless!!! Wonder what he's going to be playing by the time he's 16?...

i agree with you guys eventhough im only 21 and i have been playing for a couple of years (cant remember how many) i wished i would have started when i was 5,
by the way, i recommend you guys to check out Jason Becker, this guy was already outplaying grown ups when he was only 15, IMO he reached virtuoso at this age

Just checked out Becker- found that he has ALS- what a bummer. Why do so many great and potentially great musicians have their lives or careers cut short?

I get choked up every time I hear his name... Life can sometimes be very unfair indeed...!!!

I personally think the man is a genius... After he lost all physical movement, he composed an album of orchestral music, one note at a time just using his eye movement and a PC...!!!

Check out his website if you get a chance http://64.162.150.71/
Nothing short of inspirational...!!!

Cheers
Ben

Great contribution there on you tube. I think a lot of us feel the same way. It really makes me sick that I did not stick with it when I first picked up a guitar at age 12. No direction, no influence, and certainly no passion. Everything is quite opposite for me now. Better late than never! I play at least 2 hours every day, and love every minute of it!

Cshude, wanted to know what that kid will be playing when he's 16. Probably anything he wants.

I bookmarked the video and have been trying to learn Twist and Shout. I also try to play along with Quinn. The bridge was tough but I think I'm finally getting it pretty down. In the beginning he counts 1, 2 , 3... and plays A, B, C#, then goes right to the D chord so fast that I can't keep up. And I still can't sing and play at the same time.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
