That's Clapton and Kieth Richards backing him up by the way.

This is what was said on the forum I found it on.
"that's the "Dirty Mac" from the Rolling Stones Rock 'n Roll Circus gig ... I think it's from 1968. Never released at the time beacuse the Stones didn't perform too well, and they didn't like The Who stealing the show. It's now available on DVD as far as I know. "

That movie was aired once that I know of a few years ago - I taped it - and it was really great to see all those great rockers playing together and just goofing around. It stinks that the Stones didn't let it be shown for so long - I think the Dirty Mac could well be one of the greatest bands of all times - also an incredibly short lived one (like a couple of songs worth)!

Lennon and Clapton are probably #1 and #2 for me as far as "rock idols" and seeing them playing together was just TOO much!
