no! I don't mean death metal! What a disgrace...
Death are an awesome band, pretty much the pioneers of death metal.
If you like metal, check them out. They are well known, so on limewire/soulseek you could find some stuff pretty easily. Listen to some stuff from either The Sound of Perseverance (sp?) or Individual Though Patterns. Do it, do it now!

I like some Heavy Metal but can't really relate to Death Metal.

I like Death, you are right about them being one of the originators of this genre...
And if you like them, take a listen to Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse or Carcass...
