That's interesting, because it sounds really impressive, but once you worked out the right hand technique, practiced for a year or two, then downed a few whiskeys, I reckon it would be possible for a mere mortal (like me).

Pretty impressive, think I'd need 20 years and a couple of bottles of whisky and maybe a stunt double, then I might crack that technique, thanks for the post, great piece of playing

You're right about Drifting, just watched it and it's fantastic, melodic, rhythmic and entertaining.
Just wonderful,

In Drifting, the bass notes are fretted with the left hand and plucked by either right hand or pulled off/hammered with the left (I think), but how does he get the melody notes? Is he fretting with his right index finger (and or middle) and plucking with the other fingers of his right hand behind the index finger? And is it in an open tuning? Anyone have any views?

That was really good, sounds a lot like a technique used in Delta Blues but much faster. It is a pluck and strum with a faster beat. Very impressive.

I got barred from posting in his comments because he didn't like the fact that I prefer standard tuning so that you can pick up any guitar anywhere and play.
Rather then sitting around for 5 mins retuning some poor buggers guitar before you can express yourself.
Dunno why he got soo upset at that.

I would want to have a dozen guitars tuned differently to play stuff like that. I barely have the patience to go to a drop-D tuning, let alone retuning the entire thing.

It is truly humbling to hear what some can produce with 6 metal wires and a box of wood !!
Let the music flow from your fingers- live it, love it, experience it.....

Pretty cool. He's getting melody and percussion out of his guitar with that technique.
