  That old Zep magic

I have to say I was skeptical that they still had it in them but it seems they pulled it off in grand style. They received almost universal glowing reviews. Seems like there's plenty of life in the old (black) dog yet. I wish I hadn't sold that ticket for £10,000 now.

I'm sure it's been recorded and, now that the (good) reviews are in, we'll probably have a DVD of the event before too long. Still not sure I'd like to see a full tour though. They've probably got more to lose than gain by doing it.

Apparently they were brilliant, I think they're announcing a full tour in a couple of days time.

you are probably right - they have not got much to gain by touring, but who cares when you get to see led zep?!!
I would definately go to see them. I saw page and plant on the walking into clarksdale tour and they rocked, easily the best act i have ever seen. page is awesome

I too was a little skeptical about the reunion. I'm one of those who thinks that there is no Led Zeppelin without John Bonham.

But according to the reports, although there is no one on this earth that could replace Bonzo, his son Jason did such a fine job during rehearsals, that Jimmy stopped a song half way through because he was so impressed with the way Jason was drumming he just had to give him a hug.

I think it's fitting that if anyone were to step into the role of Zep drummer, it should be Bonzo's son Jason.

Anyway, if they do decide to tour and visit my hometown, (can't believe I'm saying this but) I believe I'd make the effort to go and see them. Only on the condition that they toured with Jason as drummer and no one else.

Not hard at all for me. Money can be replaced but you can't get time back. History was made last night.

Even among the hard core Zep fans there was a lot of skepticism. A lot of it centered around the abscence of John Bohnam. No John Bohnam - no Led Zeppelin. I think that line of thought has been put to rest. Jason kicked ass!

I had a little party last night to commemorate the event and watched giddily as the reports and boots started to come in. Some are saying it was the best rock concert ever! They stunned sceptics and optimists alike and reminded everyone who the best of the best was and still is.

Thank you Jimmy, Robert, John, and now Jason for inspiring me to pick up a guitar.

Several reviews I've read all say they were really good. Plant could still hit the high notes, Page was hitting the leads on the money, etc, etc. Seemed at one point, the band turned and looked at young Bonham and were surprised how good he was on one particular intro. Forget which one, though.

But all the articles said the same thing. They were NOT interested in a tour, per se, but did not rule out just a few more gigs, perhaps three.

But I'm wondering, I've yet to see an article about the show where they didn't show an OLD picture of the band, not a recent one.
Not very photogenic?

But, yeh, I'm waiting for the DVD, so I can compare it to the one I have of the old days. That should be wierd to see.
