Jose Feliciano - Flight of The Bumble Bee - Guitar
Just thought I'd pop this on, quite a short piece, I just love the way Jose Feliciano plays.

He's a remarkable man as he has been blind since birth and he is a great role model for any aspiring guitarist, he's some player.

Thanks Hilch, he's one of my all time favourites but doesn't get mentioned much in great guitar player lists, my hands can't move that fast either but it's cool to watch.

Hi Jayjay and Pamelody glad you liked it, he's cool
Hi Tomg123, His version of lite my fire is the best in my opinion, Jose is still going strong, here's a link to his website if you want to know what he's up to, there's a good interview as well

Best Wishes

Jose is unbelievably talented - even more remarkable given the fact that he is blind! Thanks for the link, Chris - I always enjoy watching/listening to his playing. Very humbling indeed.

Honestly, I think being blind would probably make it easier to the learn the guitar. All your other senses are heightened, and that may actually make the process quicker. You won't have the crutch of looking at the fretboard when you're starting out, but I forced myself to not do that anyways.
I'm not trying to take away from his talents btw, just speakin my mind.

That's a fair point experiment as the other senses would be heightened, I think when he used to be asked about being blind and playing the guitar Jose never made a big deal about it, he is still a remarkable man though and I think just born to play guitar, God works in mysterious ways, giving with one hand and taking with another, when I hit a bad patch I do think of people like Jose and Django Reinhardt who have overcome adversity to play guitar and it always puts me back on the right track

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
