The Long Road Out Of Eden
Just bought and listened to the new Eagles cd. I really like it and it's got the Eagles sound, so you know straight away it's an Eagles album. They still have their fabulous harmonies and the passing years don't seem to have robbed them of their talents.
I highly recommend a listen.

Thanks Neil, what's the line up now, is Joe Walsh with them?

Yep, Joe's still with them. Everybody but Don Felder who was fired from the band back in 2000. (or was it 1998?...can't be sure)

That sounded pretty damn good - though I am not one to normally like country-rock tunes!
They are just such a good band, and such great writers and arrangers. I have read the comment from more than one critic that in terms of song-writing and arranging they come right after The Beatles. High praise indeed, and I do not think far off the mark either.

Definitely! Having heard their latest album (which I just can't get enough of), their songwriting on that cd has class written all over it. The Eagles are consummate professionals, that's for sure.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
