Michael Chapdelaine Videos
Michael has several videos on his website that are outstanding. He is the only guitarist ever to win First Prize in the America's top competitions in both the Classical and Fingerstyle genres; the Guitar Foundation of America International Classical Guitar Competition and the National Fingerstyle Championships at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in Winfield , Kansas.
If you like pop tunes done in fingerstyle guitar, you will certainly like what you see and hear.

Thanks Larry,
Someone posted a link to his version of Come Together here a while ago which I thought was great. It's always great to see guitarists use their formidable technique wisely e.g. just play one note where others might play 32. Musicians who are able to do this are, IMO, much more musical and melodic and a lot easier on the ear. Then when the time comes for them to cut loose it's all the more effective.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
