  New Music

The year has not started well for me. We had some pretty bad flooding in Northern California at the start of the year which has given me some problems and I have had a couple health related problems as well (ain't it great getting old).

However, my order from Amazon arrived today and I feel better already. I finally got the Beatles Fake Book, which I have wanted for a while. But I also got some really great cds. John Hammond, Marshal Tucker Band, Dave Alvin, Jackie Greene, Johnny Winter (must admit, it is a little disappointing on first listen as I think his voice is not what it once was, but what the heck, the guitar playing is still great), James McMurtry, Jerry Douglas and, what the heck, even an old Rolling Stones album I have always wanted.

It is invigorating and I think will keep me occupied for a long time. Sorry I put it off this long.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
