  My playing style

Well I guess this is the place to divuldge what types of music I like to listen to and play. I'm also going to share some sites with all of you that I've found to be VERY helpful in getting sheet music whether u prefer tabs or chords. First, I enjoy listening to rock, country, some of the old Simon and Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, ABBA, etc.. type music. I play a bit of blues, picking up on country now, WORKING on Lightfoot and S&G. I have an electric guitar (Silvertone....which I understand is a generic Les Paul), with, unfortunately a practice amp with no "gain" and therefore, no distortion , and I also have a Harmony accoustic guitar. I can't say I prefer one over the other but I wish I had a better amp to play rock more accurately in terms of necessary distortion. Anyway, the sites I recommend for tabs and chords are Guitar Tabs, Guitar Chords and Lyrics - Chordie and ULTIMATE GUITAR TABS ARCHIVE | 250,000+ Guitar Tabs, Bass Tabs, Chords and Guitar Pro Tabs!. Both sites are VERY user friendly and another one I like that u may want to try is...Online Guitar Lessons from JamPlay.com, Acoustic and Electric Guitar. Give these sites a visit and see what u think.

Welcome to the site!! Thanks for the sites. I use Chordie all the time and love it because of the transpose option to get it printed in the key you want it!!!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
