Lightbulb   Jose!

Hey All,

Never posted a thread before, just testing to see if it actually works.... I love Jose Gonzalez's Heartbeats song. In fact, all the ones on his album are pretty good. http://www.myspace.com/josegonzalezmusic for a free listen. My only annoyance is the non-standard tuning he likes so much. Quite interesting for song writing though, he finger picks 2 or 3 nice sounding bars and then just uses that throughout pretty much. Much less daunting to think you only need to do a little string of a few random nice sounding notes which you repeat a lot rather than compose a whole song. I shall make a song-writing attempt this weekend and see if the theory works!

Nope. I'm officially shocking at song writing..! I started working on something which sounded alright and then went onto playing some other stuff from the site and realised that rather than managing to successfully write a new little song, I'd just nicked a bit from the end of Always on my Mind but with a slightly different beat without realising. Doh! My voice is tragically letting me down as well - I might see if there's any free online voice coaching lessons! My Jose Gonzalez is sounding good though ;-) Sue
