What a band!
This was filmed well before 1978, because that's when Lowell George (the guy in the cowboy hat) died. Little Feat are still around, still a great band, but it was never quite the same without Lowell, the founder. He wrote some incredible tunes and played that mean slide.

They're all great musicians; the way they weave their parts together into that one deep groove ... to me, no one else has ever come close.

Wow, what a killer solo from hat guy and then that surprise ending was really cute. Thanks for posting the link - I didn't know about them before.
OK I'm going to be really shallow now......one of the best things about them is they all had beards except piano man (but piano man is excused by his excellent playing) and cute hat (I want one) and great shirt (I want one of them too).

Thanks for sharing that Kirk. I've just about worn out my Dixie Chicken cd. They were and still are a great band and I love the way they just seem to throw everything into the mix and what comes out is absolutely brilliant.
I hope they come back to Australia again, cause I'd love to see them. Just a shame that Lowell's not with us anymore.

I once had the pleasure of jamming with the bass player, Ken Gradney and Mick Fleetwood on drums at a club in Sydney. They were in town with a band called The Zoo with Billy Thorpe on vocals. We played a few bluesy tunes. Good fun!
