List of your favorite guitar solos. Here are mine:
My personal favorite is canon rock. Arranged by JerryC but is best played by funtwo (according to me, feel free to disagree). YouTube - guitar
My second one is I'm Alright, arranged by Neil Zaza (you've gotta admire this guy, he really loves what he does with a guitar which is why he keep smiling).
Here's a link of a live performance: YouTube - Neil Zaza - I'm Alright
But he messes up pretty bad at some parts so my favorite version is the one played by JerryC: YouTube - I'm Alright (JerryC)
These are by far my favorites and I'm dreaming of being able to play them one day. I'd love to hear more great guitar solos so which are your favorites?
I don't know where to start, as I have quite a few favorites. I'll just post some snippets of a top ten of some of my all time favs, as posting them all would take forever lol. Some take mad skill to play and others aren't too technical but they all deliver the feel of the song superbly IMO.
Excellent selection testekleez Saved the best till last!
I would have added the outro solo from "Comfortably Numb".
And, of course, a bit of Hendrix. Yeah, I know, showing my age.

I agree Comfortably Numb is one of the all time greatest solos ever. Oh yeah, and Hendrix of course was the man. No doubt about it. I could probably post dozens more. There are so many great guitarists out there, it's hard to choose just a few but those are some that stood out for me.
I may post a few more later as I didn't even post any country or metal stuff. Vince Gill is a great lead guitarist, as well as an outstanding vocalist. The solo on "Never Knew Lonely" is awesome!
Here's some more of my favorite solos. A little bit of everything from Country to Metal to Jazz. I found one song I love posted on Youtube. It's a great song with some intricate lead work. Kind of a "Rawhide" feel to it, very well done for the song.
too many to name but two come to mind automatically. Jeff Healy both times ON Hideaway and again on Nice Problem To Have. The completely unorthodox way he plays may have something to do with it lol.

Gilmour - Time
Zappa - Watermelon in easter hey (Joes Garage)
Jeff Beck - Coause we ended as lovers
Page - the Lead in No Quarter on the live CD
Hendrix - Machine Gun (Live at the Filmore)
Your just upset because the voices won't talk to you !
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
