  Whatever happened to Jeff Healy

I was thumbing through some of my cds and found a few of his. Anybody know what he's doing nowadays?

He is once again battling cancer for the second time in the last two years. He was going to play a gig with a friend of mine at jeffs new blues club but, had to cancel. It doesn't look good.

Woo, allthumbs, that's not a good thing to hear! I once partied with him at a Toronto bar - he said that all the women at the table were absolutely beautiful! I'm really sad to hear that.

Yeah that is sad news. I too hope he beats it (the cancer) and makes a full recovery. Saw him back in '91 and he rocked the roof off. Great memories of that night!

Jeff Healey lost his life long battle against cancer (since age 1, when cancer caused his blindness!!) March 2nd 2008.

R.I.P. a great guitar player and musician. Check his lap guitar technique in this videos:

It's very sad. He was an amazing musician and performer. He had a radio show on the CBC that I listened to a lot. I'll miss him.

Very sad to hear of Jeff's passing. He fought a long and valiant battle and overcame a lot of obstacles to become the guitarist he was. He should serve as an inspiration to everyone.
