RUSH Hope
Hi Guys, have got the new snakes and arrows Cd. I think it's really cool especially the instrumentals. I've been trying to play "hope". I know it's in Drop D and runs through sus4 chords of D,G,Bm & A. But can't work out what he's doing after his initial run through the bass strings. Any ideas??
Cheers

It's a great cd Dewy, the best they've put out for years IMHO, particularly track 8. (Hope). If you've any idea how he plays it I'd be glad to discuss it with you.

Well, now that I've listened to the song... I agree, its a great lil tune.
Haven't picked out the whole thing yet, but its certainly in an open D major tuning.

Ah, I didn't think of open D. I've been trying double drop D. I'll give that a go and see if I can come up with the right sound. Cheers.

Open D tuning there on the link above... I've got to change my strings before I can get my guitar to hold that tuning... long enough to learn the song anyway.

yep, 12 string guitar tuned to an open D Me thinks... that'll be a trick for sure, but the video is an immense help.
How far have you gotten with it?

Not very well, I'd been playing in DADGAD but it looks as though it's DADAAD tuning. But the vid has certainly helped. Off to retune now.
Although I'm going to take the guys advice and tune to C# instead.
