  Song Choice

Hey everyone,
I'm going up to my cousin's soon and he's amazing on drums. He called me up and asked me to bring my guitar so that we could record a song together. All I have to do is find a song that will sound good with only lead and drums.
So basically, I'm looking a fast-paced classic rock song that has fun parts for guitar and drums. As long as the guitar part isn't crazy hard I should be fine. Does anybody have any suggestions for a song?
Thanks a bunch!
Markgp

Tunes by the White Stripes would be a good choice, check out some of their tunes on YouTube.

well who can fault you for that?

I have been stuck with guitar and drums many times... there is no decent solution...

I'd much rather take a bass and jam bass and drums than guitar and drums.

Just an easy one but a bit of Fun, Wild thing by the Troggs or there's a Jimi Hendrix version that's cool.

As long as you know how to play barre chords, the rhythm guitar for "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions is an easy one.

A few others:

"Talk Dirty To Me" - Poison

"D.O.A. (Dead or Alive)" - Van Halen

"La Grange" - ZZ Top

"Green Manalishi (with the Two-Pronged Crown)" - Judas Priest

"Highway to Hell" - AC/DC

"The Rover" - Led Zeppelin

You might want to check out the video lessons at Next Level Guitar - he has lessons covering a lot of cool songs, many of which are fairly easy. Another good place to check out is a guy named Solo Dallas on YouTube - he has a lot of good video lessons.

"I wish I could play that fast - then I would have the option of not doing that."
