There Goes My Excuse Out The Window

I can no longer use the exuse that my hands are too small to play the guitar really well.

I can't link the website or the YouTube video, but Google "Jack Tuttle" and click on the YouTube link from his page.

Yep, time to come up with another excuse!

Wonderful to be young.

It's like when you see kids skateboarding and say to yourself, 'Crazy'.

Young kids tend to be fearless, not afraid to fall, not afraid to hit a wrong note. Just go out and play and have a good time. They were good, really really good. I bet we could be almost as good if we remove that fear of being bad from our minds.

Just a thought.

Michael

I agree with you Michael. No doubt these kids were born with some natural musical ability, but I doubt they were ever told that learning an instrument was hard work. They all seemed so relaxed, almost nonchalant in their approach. The little kid playing the mandolin is so relaxed, he almost looks bored.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
