Different...Whats that on the 1-4 frets on the top{while viewing} an 1&2 fret on the lower? Just video mirage or something to do with the tones?

Amazing.
It's either tape or paper pushed up under the strings to create a mute so the open strings don't start to go off by themselves. In some of his other videos he has foam or something doing the same job.
By the difference in the length of his hair (in this video and others), it looks like he's been doing this for quite awhile. I hope he continues!

I'm not certain but I think it probably had to do with not being able to get a strap strong enough. Plus 'harp-dive' is a lot worse than neck-dive as I understand it.

eh, if thats his best reason... he's a wimp...
Its truly quite amazing... but after watching several of his videos I wouldn't pay to go to sleep at one of his shows. Being great is all fine and dandy... but being entertaining is always more fun to watch live.
Also, I noticed his guitar has no Bridge pickups...

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
