I just discovered Redd's music - man, talk about playin' with soul! That's Cindy Cashdollar on the pedal steel, another great musician.

Very nice. Am I completely crazy to think that if Hank Marvin played Country he would sound like that?

As I watched it for about the tenth time, it occurred to me that it would be an inspirational clip for anybody who claims that it's hard to play guitar because they have "fat fingers". Just look at the size of Redd's mitts!!!

Sublime playing, finger lickin' tasty. Thanks Stratrat for finding that, I'd never even heard of him or her.

I had never heard of him either until a couple days ago - but he's one of Merle Haggard's guitarists, and the cat has apparently gigged with a lot of big names in the country world over the years. He's definitely got some chops!

talking about "Fat Fingers", take a look at Johnny Hiland!!!
Looks like little tiny hands but fat fingers. I've watched about three different videos and I don't think he ever uses his little finger on the left hand.
And can he PLAY!!!!!! WHoa!!!

You're right, this dude rocks! But he actually DOES use the little finger on the left hand. When he's doing a tapping routine!! Check out his demo on the PRS website!!!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
