Need help again

Hi

I've hooked my guitar into my amp and my amp is now hooked to my pc. I can only record though when i put my amp on full distort and its still quite quiet. What can i do to make a better, higher sound? Am i doing it right?

Thanx

Ryan

On Audacity, boost the imput Level, also, in the editor, boost up the level for the piece volume wise. It's off to the side of the audio piece, the toolbar is listed as 'Audio Track'.

Guitar: 1) Behringer Stratocaster; Webstrings Memphis Electric Xlight strings; Dunlop Picks

2) Ibanez TCY-10 Talman Series; Elixir Light strings.

Redryan: Getting levels set is a tricky process. Often you can't control the input level within the recording software, so you have to get into the Windows sound control panel. In there you'll find all kinds of settings ... click around, find Options > Recording ... set volume there with the little faders. Mic or Line is what to look for.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
