I don't think such a thing exists. To convert an MP3 to MIDI is beyind the extant technology

Theres a few on here but i cant find anything that is free, also as scotty said its not going to sound as good as the original, as midi is a complex break up of each instruments sound pattern.

I think that converting mp3/wav/analog audio to midi hasn't progressed past a primitive research project with minimally acceptable results.

Here is an example....

http://www.akoff.com/music-composer.html#samples

The samples don't sound bad, but these don't represent the complex sounds in most commercial recordings.

Although for $29, if you are just wanting to get midi versions of some riffs you create, it might work well.

audio to MIDI works OK for single note lines on a solo instrument. Chords and ensembles aren't possible yet, at least not with usable results.

Midi? Wasn't that like a dress back in the 60's?

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
