Background music extractor

Hi! I'm looking for a software which can extract the voice. I want to focus on playing the guitar but i want someone to accompany me. Does anyone know if such software exist?

Thanks! Peace!

I have seen one or two programs that said they can and can't. I haven't heard of any. It is kind of like looking for a way to take the eggs back out of a cake once it's baked. You might be able to do something with a good EQ program.

Depending on how the recordings were originally mixed, you may be able to eliminate the vocals from a song using Audacity. It may be possible to eliminate the back track, but that is seldom requested. Check the Audacity FAQ for the explanation to remove vocals.

Yep, as stated above, people request to remove vocals only, for Kareoke type stuff, and depending on how the song was mixed, some programs have limited success with some songs. Somehow they can set the left and right vocal channles up out of phase so they tend to cancle each other out.
But-as stated, the results are poor and inconsistent.
Extracing the voice out -without all the music sounds even more difficult.

http://www.analogx.com/contents/down...o/vremover.htm (it's a free plugin for winamp)

give it a shot. it removes vocals, but it also degrades the quality of the underlying sound.

Thank you all for your reply. I mean I want to remove the background music and keep the voice. Has anyone tried AV Music Morpher?
