This is as good as I get
Feeling really good about myself right now ,I think I might have something here that sounds like music ..
Maybe some one else can tell me if its' just my bias ears ?
I used a acustic guitar and a mic this time ...
I started out trying to play a 12 bar blues progression ...That failed into this ....
Cappo on 2nd fret Chords used were open D -G -A I don't know what they become when you use a cappo on the 2 nd fret ..
Hopefully it sounds OK ..
I called it take 10 for obvious reasons ..This was the best of them
Cheers
Trev...

The chords become E,A,B. Sounds like music to me. Would have been nice to put a B7th in there for the turn around chord. That had a country blues feel to it. Cool.

Sounds good to a fellow beginner but I am sensing that you are playing very tense??????? I get the same for some reason as soon as i press that big red recording button. What i do when that happens is just to keep recording even if i record 20 minutes or so as by then i have relaxed. Then I cut out all the bad playing and i am left with the best effort.
Keep it up Trev

Why did you "fail" the 12 bar blues?????
I am not an expert but I am having fun with blues and the best thing about 12 bar blues is that it is hard to fail and once you have the hang of it then you can blues away to your hearts content improving and expanding the sound and trying different keys. My favorite and i think easiest 12 bar blues is in "E" and a simple progression would go E7, E7,E7, E7, A7, A7, E7, E7, B7, A7, E7, B7
Find a strum pattern you like for the E7 and A7 (with some muting maybe) then when you get to the B7 part do a mostly down strum (like D,D,D,D,U,D) and repeat the same until the last bar and do say 8 fast down strums for a easy turn around.
Let me record one and i will put it here.

Thanks Krisovo
I am only going by a book I would really appreciate it ...
Why did I fail ...mmmm I think I lost it and not being able to hear what I should be playing is very hard for me ...
Can I still use the capo ? As I can't play B yet ...
down ..down...down..down....up down{ with a mute } ? speed does it have to be any certain speed ?
Glad you liked it Cold ethyl

Since your thinking in open chords play the A7th. That is the standard turn around chord, playing the 7th. In fact you could play all the chords as 7ths if you wanted to. When you want to end the tune, just play an A chord with emphasis on the root note for the Finish.

Here is a quick effort, the recording is not very good as my pc is dying a death so forgive the savage clipping.
I varied the strumming patterns throughout slightly but you can almost get away with anything at first so it just for ideas more than anything. I followed the blues in E progression i posted

A 7th chord needs to be resolved to a major chord to release then tension of playing a b7th instead of the root of the chord.
