Relaxation Music

I was at the beach { sea side } recently with my in-laws and I started playing this , its' nothing fantastic trust me I am playing it but my mother in law and her sister asked me for a copy of some of my playing , they said and I quote , they felt very relaxed while listening to it ...

I gave them a copy and i just filled the Cd up with very simular style of music each peice went for about 2 minutes ..

My wife enjoys this one the best and so do I so here is everyone elses chance to have a listen , now remember everyone I have already mentioned has never played a guitar and I am very ordinary at playing ..

Cheers

Trev...

Smooth chord transitions, clean playing. Nice. Your recording process really needs work though.

Nice Hilch,
It's good that you can entertain and relax your family with your playing. That makes the practice pay off. There is a lot of fuzzy noise in the recording.

Very nice, Trev - that is a relaxing, laid-back kind of tune. Having others appreciate your playing like that makes it even more enjoyable!

Nice tune the playing was good, that hissing niose i get sometimes, its when i am recording more then one track it seems and the mic boost is on. Also keep the speakers turned off the first track and low as possible on the other tracks...if there's more then one

Thanks for the feed back aand thanks Tom for pointing out how I can improve my recording rather than just saying " it needs improveing " I appreciate it ..

I have just discovered that one of the noises is from my capo The Lower E string is not being clamped down hard enough ... There is a big wear spot in it ..one new capo on list for Gas ...

Cheers

hilch, loved the playing and the tune. But the recording was like fingernails on a chalk board. Can you tell us what's your recording setup? It sounded like some of it was clipping pretty harshly amidst the hiss. Both in the strumming and the bass line.

Looks like all that practice is paying off Trev, nice tune.

I am with you on the recording noise, I am just using a mike into a small mixer then to audacity and get the same hiss issues. I am guessing it is possibly either

a) too much gain being used to boost the signal in or
b) I should have spent a bit more and bought a better quality mixer

Cheers

Peter

I don't use a mic Peter

I'll try again and see what happens as it has only just started to do this on me

really annoying as this isn't the copy I gave my rellies , I deleted them as I thought I could do it better for you guys ...

And all I get is this darn annoying noise ...

Bugger
