home demo

Hey everyone,
I decided to join in the action and post a demo at http://www.mp3.com.au/artist.asp?id=1848 so please check it out if you have time. It's simply called "slide demo" for want of a better name. I doubt it'll ever end up being released in any form so I thought it might be nice for people to at least hear it.
Cheers,
Brett.

i've listened to all of your music published on that site - that's amaizing...
since english's not my native language i can't find the right word so let it be amaizing

i'd like to ask some questions about crystal voyager...

i'd say the hint is in solo passage betwean chords(i mean the changin of harmony...i'm not good at theory)

and the way the "band" works the melody out togather

and there're few cycles (repetitions) in chord progression but the changing solo makes the whole piece of music always chainging - like a symphony - i mean it doesn't go in circles

i'm just trying to take something from your playing) is my guess right? or any other tips that are not of a big secret?

and one more - or mayme modefied number one

i'd say you have an mp3-player in your head because the ideas\phrases in the leading part ane connected...like one undevided idea

i've read somewhere that an ability to compose music depends on your inner hearing - ability to immagine a note before you play it. and the more developed your inner hearing is the more complicated music you can compose. in fact the thing my violing teacher tried to teach me but she failed...the thing i think i'm just starting to aquire.

do you have a kind of this idea in your mind?)

Hello Brett,
Schermerberger here. You or someone on this forum has to tell me what all you guy are eating there in Australia because there seems to be a theme I'm noticing on this site (no offense to anyone else in the world) but you guys sound great. There seems to be a nice anthemic sound to your music. I want to say Queensreichy with less forced drama, I guess I'll stick to anthemic.
as far as your slide song my only comments are this:
1. more of them to be inspired by
2. a new name for them would be good
3. better as Kirk, Lightnin', Thumbs, & R MC and most of the rest for real constructive feedback

I don't how I've missed seeing this post for so long...

Brett, all those tracks are just amazing ... beautiful!!! A sheer pleasure to listen to them ... Words fail me.

Do you ever get up to Queensland?
