Kirk,
Two good playing lessons. Nice work on that slide, the way I see it
much more difficult to play a slow tune because you gotta right on the fret notes for a longer period of time. Great tune and playing.

Lovely playing, as usual. The video opened strangely in my viewer (Firefox 2.0.0.4) - all squashed up vertically at the top of the screen. Dunno if that's just here or others have had the same issue?

I liked both versions too, shows how you can make the same tune very different.

Dang, whenever I see one of your videos or hear a tune I'm reminded that I just don't practice this style enough. Great tune, nice work as always.

But.... I did play your fingerstyle version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow for my mom on Canada Day at a backyard jam with about 50 or so people. I felt pretty darn proud of that as she had asked me to learn that. So, thanks Kirk! Here's a pic of me playing that tune on July 1st.

The slide is killer. Do you have a longer version of the fingerstyle arrangement? You were really on to something with that.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
