Sweet slickcat. Nice to have us sliders bouncing off each other. It is a good contrast to hear the difference in tones between Dropped D and an open tuning like G.
I couldn't upload the bt I played over. So who is going to do a slide piece next?

It is written in the key of G so open G was the way to go.

I used a Line 6 toneport UX-1 as the computer/guitar interface. I also used Audacity (free mixing software.)

Excellent, SlickCat! Has a great (for lack of a better word) beer bottle neck quality that I love with the blues.

Hey SlickCat, that was an exellent take! The tone and the playing were spot on! I wish you would started to play from the 0:00 till the end.

Hi GT,
Yeah I thought I waited a little long to start sliding too. I could have slipped in some small licks to build tension, then gradually build towards the end.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
