Rush "YYZ"

Here´s my recording of this prog Rock Classic song. I really liked the guitar tone i got on this one from the Line6 Live XT. I ***** the end but i swear the midi is not on the right time as it should be and i was too lazy to fix it Enjoy!

Awesome job GT! Great tune too. That's a good strategy, if you mess up, blame the midi! I'll keep that in mind.

GT - You did an unbelievably good job on that one! I A/B'ed it with the original as I listened to it, you did a great job of capturing their tone AND the licks!

I don't know that I'd qualify as a proghead, but I definitely enjoy listening to Rush.....they're one of my favorite bands. Unbelievably enormous talent between those three! I saw them in concert years ago, and was amazed to watch Geddy Lee playing the keyboard with one hand, hammering notes on the neck of his bass with the other, and singing....all at the same time!

Okay, trivia question for you Rush fans - what is the meaning of the title of "YYZ"? I'm sure a couple of you will get it quickly.

YYZ is the transmitter code for Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport. Every airport is assigned a unique 3 letter code, and that code is always being transmitted so that pilots can tell, roughly, where they are and verify that their navigational radios are tuned properly. These codes are also written on your luggage tags when you fly. The intro to the song is Morse code for "YYZ."
