That's pretty good for a first try. You need to damp behind the slide a bit more and I can hear that your slide is resting bottom heavy on the strings so that the first and second strings aren't making contact with the slide as firmly as they should. Those 2 things will cut down on a lot of string noise. What kind of slide are you using and what gauge strings do you have on there?

Thanks. Ya I def need to work on that. I am using a Stevens slide and the gauges are .058, .045, .024, .016, and .014.

Sometimes when I try to mute behind the slide I get a muffled sound. Is that b/c the slide is not pressed down hard enough?

Yer doin' pretty good there! Nice job.
If you're like me, the Stevens slide is just a bit on the narrow side to be really comfortable.
I put a couple of wraps of friction tape on mine and it made a big difference in the way it fits my hand.
I'm saving my pennies for a Weissenborn from Paddy Burgin, of New Zealand. I met him this past Summer and played one of his instruments....WOW!

Mucho sweetato bro. That vibrato at the end would also sound good on some of the held slides earlier in the piece, You are really cooking on that thing.

Friction tape is a linen based tape, usually black, that is entirely soaked in mild adhesive.
Commonly used here (New England, USA) for electrical work, wrapping hockey sticks, wrapping baseball bat handles to make them less slippery (hence the name "friction" tape). It goes by different names in different countries.

You can also use medical bandage tapes, made of cotton or dacron, to build up the slide groove to make it more comfortable.
You might also want to look into the Shubb Pearse SP2 slide or the Shubb GS1 style.

Thanks allthumbs. Your advice really helped as I hope you can tell I'll work on the vibrato too.
