Chris,

Ok. Here it is. Up front.

I don't have an iPod. All I have is my boxen. I have speakers piped up to the bedroom so that I can listen to music as I retire for the evening. Your Green Sleeves is now in the loop.

Excellent guitar form. I had a real "concert hall" feeling with your rendition. I am in awe.

Ok. I've listened to your Green Sleeves like 18 times. I tire not. I would suggest just a bit more reverb to acquire that true on stage sound.

This is so cool!

Les

Excellent Cshude! I can picture the damsels dancing and the gentlemen coming a courting. Nice increase in intensity with those full strums towards the end. A truly enjoyable tune to listen to.

VERY NICE! Sounds like you are very comfortable with it too. Skill brings confidence and vice versa.

Very nicely done, Chris. Very Elizabethan vibe to it, almost sounded like a lute.

Loved it man! I find myself enjoying these mellow type tunes more then ever. The loud stuff is getting to much for these ears

Thank you all for the very kind comments. I've been playing this one on a pretty regular basis for about 4 months, usually as part of a warmup routine. The chord changes and the different variations in the verses that you can do really help to get loosened up and sure are a lot more fun than playing scales. I learned this one from Kirk's lesson, then capoed at the 4th fret to give that, as Kirk puts it, Elizabethan kind of sound.

It's frustrating, however, that when I listen to it, what pops at me are the mistakes. Ah, well. Keep on practicing.....

Very, very nice. Good and clean and soothing. I like how you let the 'trip-a-let's build during some of the 'choruses'.

Chris , I think you can improve on it, having said that, my wife and I enjoyed it very much. I love the way you slide into the song , very original. The same with me , I hear all the shortcomings in my songs , your right , just keep playin it and it will get better, but it is very, very, listenable right now, and brought us both joy,Thanks , lo love ya ,JB

mistakes?!?!?

i loved the grace notes (i think they're called), masterful. the way the song sorta ran along at parts, im guessing those are the triplets were so good, 0:50-1:00 for one example. i started to tap my toe which quickly progressed to my whole body swaying back and forth. there're a lot of versions of this song, and i dont hesitate to say this rendition is testament to this being one of the greatest tunes of all time! masterful job.
