Freight Train - Video

Okay, so the singings not great but this is my effort following Kirk's superb lesson on this lovely tune.

If there was every a tune that looked easy in tab/notation, then this is it. Playing it and connecting it all together (for me anyway ) is a different matter.

I have been determined though to finish up with something decent to share with GFB'ers. Hope this qualifies.

There is some awesome players on here. I'm glad I'm along for the ride.

Oh, apologies for the bit of flesh showing. Those are my geetar shorts

Very Impressive, you might not like the sound of your voice but I did, and to play like that and sing at the same time, fantastic effort. Big thumbs up

Nice job sleepy! You've got that style down pat. One of Kirk's growing band of disciples for sure!

Great playing sleepy, how long have you been playing. You seem to pick these up really fast? Or are you just putting in long pratice sessions? Anyways your songs are really enjoyable, and your singing just fits these songs you have posted lately. Good work.

Very well done indeed, sgm! You've got it down pat, and I like your relaxed singing, too.

Thanks each and everyone one of you for your inspiring replies. Seagull, I suppose I have been playing about 4 years. I am quite determined though when I find a piece of music I want to learn but don't feel as though I practice enough.

I am very critical of my playing (singing??). I listen to players on this forum and think "I wish I could play like that". I love Kirk's lessons and Kirk is certainly someone who I aspire to.

However, the enjoyability of playing my guitar never goes away.

Cheers.
