Life Is Fine
*****************************

[V1]
Getting long in the tooth
Hell and gone from my youth
Getting tired when I know I'm not
No point remembering what I forgot (D)

[V2]
It's so easy to let things go
No reason to put on a show
No need to bleed on future days
They're bound to come and go anyway (D)

[Chorus]
Life is great
Life is fine
I won't hesitate
To take whats mine

[Post Chorus]
Gonna do what I want, now
Gonna take my time
Lay it on the line
It ain't no crime when life is fine

[V3]
The best is yet to come
The game's isn't done
My piece is moving around the board
Passing go, collecting rewards

[V4]
When the payoff hits
And it's time to split
I'll blow this joint and hit the road
There's one more place I gotta go

[Chorus]
Life is great
Life is fine
I won't hesitate
to take whats mine

[Post Chorus]
Gonna do what I want, now
Gonna take my time
Lay it on the line
It ain't no crime when Life is fine

Addendum
I paid the price
Got a little slice
Of heaven on earth
Life is fine

***
As always, thanks for getting this far!

Les

Might fine Les!

I also listened on SC, and voted HOT as well (although I wonder how much those votes actually count - voted anyway just in case it helps!)

It's my Dime was really good, Life is Fine is -- FINE!!

Most enjoyable!
Hope ya don't mind me sayin', but it's kind of got a Travelling Wilbury feel to it. That was my take on it anyway.

Thanks for listening you say?
Heck, thanks for posting Les!
That was most enjoyable!
Always a treat to listen to your playing and singing and songwriting.
I agree with ColdEthyl about the Wilburys feel, probably because you sound so much like Tom Petty with your natural singing voice. I could see Tom stealing that song and putting it on one of his albums. Good thing he doesn't search here for songs. Or does he?

Hey Guys,

Thanks a ton for listening!!!!!
I'm really happy with this number.

And I really appreciate the thoughts about the Wilbury's. They are my Dream Team!

Life Is Fine clocked into the Folk-Rock charts @ #18 this morning when I checked. It'll be interesting to see where this one goes. I've also sent it to my mentor in Nashville. Who knows, eh?

Thanks again for all the support!

Les

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
