Jim Goes Nuts in F Sharp...sorry Allthumbs!

Yup - this must be the time of the year I go insane. I was last year at this time that the blues bit me for the first time, and in about 2 weeks will be the anniversary of me ordering my Les Paul. So, something flipped inside when playing with Allthumbs F# backing (for my Circle of Blues) and I just decided to play it as fast, loud, distorted, whatever as I could and see what came out... No semblence of musicality or melody here, just raw insanity I think. But I figured I'd let you all into my psychotic break with me and let you see what demons haunt me when I pick up that guitar (and this was the Les Paul, the one signed by the man himself). So, without any apologies (except for the clinkers that are liberally spread around), here is the flipped-out version of the F# Circle of Blues entry (maybe it was because it's out of order - F# wasn't due to be done yet... )

Don't worry Marty, I'm also doing a non-insane version!

Oh boy...

Jim

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
