1K posts! Pretty good MIDI horns - Hawaii 5-0

Well, this marks my 1000th post here. I also just had my 50th birthday, and because I like hawaiian shirts, my wife used "Hawaii 5-0" as the theme for our party. I would have worn a hawaiian shirt anyway. Anyway, just before Scotty posted his recording of Hawaii 5-0, IO had started looking for MIDI files I could work with to do the same thing. Scotty's recording is way cool! It's all real, played by real players. For my version I found some MIDI arrangements, editted them to my ear, and then spent some time locating good horn samples. I think I found some sounds that are pretty authentic.

Hawaii 5-0

RB, are the horn sounds you playing the guitar through a MIDI synth? I'm still working on the BT that Scotty posted. Congrats old timer.

Nice job old fart (both in years and posts now...) - I'm sorry, that should be "super-old-fart!"

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
