Ben,
As always, a beautiful job!! Nice harmony in the guitar parts - and a killer tone. Your recording skills are something I'm going to mindmeld out of you somehow - if it kills me! And nice solo and bass licks too.
BUT -- When are ya gonna sing for us?? I butcher my vocals all the time and I hear Neil has a contract out on me to stop my attempts to emulate his vocal prowess... You really should give it a go!
Super job on a song that was probably on my list of ones to do in the future... Neil really has a treasure trove of classics for us, doesn't he?
Congrats.

Great job NoCat man!
I recorded a version of this on the old 12 string a few months back. I wasn't happy with it and never posted it. Now that I've heard your version maybe I'll dust it off and give it another go. I think adding an electric guitar track to it would bring it to life a bit. But enough about me... that was a great job!

Excellent as always nocat. My only suggestion is to have a real guitar (preferably the low one at 1:25-1:26) playing along on that little riff after "and I'm gettin' old" instead of just the harpsichord sounding instrument. The harpsichord (I have no idea what it actually is, so that's my name for it ) sounds great in the mix with the guitars but when left on it's own, it sounds a bit "MIDI-ish" if you know what I mean.
Anyways, that's just something that stuck out at me while listening. I love that little riff and I think adding the guitar to it will give it a bit more kick. Great job dude!

Hey Tek...!!
That is a real guitar, dude...!!! I can hear what you mean though... I used a verb effect
that caused it to ring out a bit too much... I wanted to make it stand out in the mix, so
I boosted the 16KHz frequency... I guess it had an adverse effect...!!! It does ring in a
very un-natural way... Hmmmm...!!!!
Thanks for pointing it out Bro...!!!
Cheers
Ben

Great arrangement there, NoCat!
I must say I'm rather partial to, and have been trying to emulate (rather poorly I must add ), the acoustic/harmonica version, but it just goes to show someone can come up with an arrangement I would never have thought possible ... and pull it off brilliantly too!
Well done mate!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
