A little Dylan - You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go

Well, if it doesn't show by now, Dylan has been a big influence on me over the years.
I can honestly say I can't get enough Dylan.

Dylan wrote this in his "Open D" years. I love to play this tune around the camp fire ..... This was recorded a while back....

You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go [2.9mb @ 3:04]

Enjoy!

Les

Les - I think you probably know that Dylan has been a big part of my guitar life as well - but I only wish I could play his music even close to the level you can...

Super job!!!

Super job Lc!
I love hearing fresh version of these tunes from yesteryear. I wonder what decade most of the songs that are recorded and posted here are from? I'd say the 60s and 70s are miles ahead of the 80s, 90s and this decade. Was the music that much better? Or are we just all getting older and nostalgic?

You know that's a real good question and one worthy of it's own thread! I think you should post that in The Music Lounge.

I'd be interested in the replies.

Excellent post, Canuck. Be sure to listen to my new CCR post!

Les

Real good job Les. I would also recommend people check out Madeleine Peyroux's fantastic jazz version of this song which features a taseful repeating guitar riff. You can hear a clip here - here.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
